Provenir Healthcare is currently looking for full time Operating Room Clinical Managers and Registered Nurses to work with a highly well-established hospital and surgical center in multiple locations in far west and southwest Houston and surrounding communities.
Job Duties For OR Registered Nurses:
The Registered Nurse is one who plans, coordinates, delivers, and evaluates nursing care for patients whose protective reflexes or self-care abilities are potentially compromised during operative or other invasive procedures. Although the RN works collaboratively with other perioperative professionals (e.g.: Surgeons, anesthesia professional, surgical technologists) to meet patient needs, the RN is accountable for the patient outcomes resulting from the nursing care provided during the operative or other invasive procedure. Using clinical knowledge, judgement, and clinical reasoning skills based on scientific principles, the RN plans and implements nursing care to address the physical, psychological, and spiritual responses of the patient having an operative or invasive procedure.
Job Duties For OR Clinical Managers:
Under the general supervision of the Clinical Director/Manager of the Perioperative Unit, the Clinical Coordinator provides care of patients within the OR Department. This position assumes clinical responsibility for the specialty by providing teaching, clinical supervision and evaluation of other personnel assigned to the area. This position is also responsible for duties outlined in the staff registered nurse job description: professional nursing care and related assistance to patients, providing direction to licensed vocational nurses and non- professional nursing personnel in providing direct patient care.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
- Two years of OR/Perioperative services experience preferred or graduate of AORN Perioperative 101.
- Current licensure in Texas as Registered Nurse.
- Certified though the American Heart Association in BLS.
- ACLS required within 6 months of hire. PALS/ENPC preferred.
- Registered Nurse certification in at least one specialty required. Example: CNOR, SGNA, or ASPAN.
- Valid Drivers’ license and reliable transportation necessary as travel between campuses may be required.
- Covid 19 vaccination required
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
Demonstrated proficiency in at least 5 surgical specialties or PACU or Endoscopy preferred. Prior Clinical Coordinator experience preferred
Shifts & Pay:
3 x 12 hour day shifts
Pay Range – $69,250 – $101,100
$ 15,000 sign on Bonus Certain requirements must be met in order to qualify, only for certain locations and positions
