Certified Surgical Tech – Local CONTRACT

Provenir Healthcare is currently looking  for a full time Contract Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) at an ambulatory surgical center specializing in total knee and hip replacement surgery and orthopedic spinal surgery. This is for a contract opportunity with our client and is guaranteed for a minimum of 13 weeks.
Our client is conveniently located on the Massachusetts border in Salem, New Hampshire.  The state-of-the-art facility was created by leading-edge surgeons to provide the best possible patient experience.

Specialties:

Total Hip and Knee Replacement/Orthopedics

Surgeries of the Lumbar and Cervical Spine including Kyphoplasty and Vertebroplasty.

Job Responsibilities:

May perform any of the following duties with the goal of preparing the room and the patient for the surgical procedure:

Setting up the instruments and equipment that is required for the procedure

Sterilizing equipment and taking an inventory to ensure there are enough supplies for surgery

Preparing the patient for surgery

Passing the Surgeon instruments and sterile supplies throughout the operation

Taking a count of all surgical surgical sponges and sharps prior to the operation

Recounting surgical instruments and supplies at the end of the operation

Maintaining an overall sterile environment throughout the surgery

Stocking rooms, picking supplies for cases, assisting with departmental daily tasks.

Shifts/Pay/Benefits:

Full-time

4×10 hour shifts

No weekends/No Major Holidays / No Nights

Hourly Rate: Starting at $35.00 per hour

Qualifications:

• Surgical Technician experience is required (2+ years preferred)
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Must be certified (NBSTSA) unless falls under the 2009 Grandfather clause.
• BLS via AHA
• Covid vaccination required
